W.I.P. Holographic

WIP Holographic

This might be one of the most pricey polishes in my collection. I have been looking for a silver holo polish for quite a while now and I was close to ordering  FNUG’s Psychedelic  (15 € + 5,00 € shipping) from their website. But then I went shopping with a friend and we walked into Urban Outfitters. I regret not looking at their polishes closer, because they have quite a nice collection and polishes are usually 8 €. But this Holographic hidden in between all the other pretty colors and was labelled 17 €.  W.I.P. is Urban Outfitter’s home brand and also available in their online store. W.I.P. has three… Continue Reading

ILNP Music Box

ILNP Music Box Nail Design Slapper 1

One of my favorite indie nail polish brands is ILNP. The have some of the most beautiful and stunning holo and multichrome nail polishes I have ever seen. And I guess I also love their name “I love nail polish”. I own a few of their old polishes with the former bottle design as I think in 2014 they have changed it to the new design you see above. But a lot of polishes still remain the same. Today I am showing you a color named Music Box. You can order their polishes exclusively on www.ilnp.com (average price is 10 $).  Music Box is a holografic teal nail polish. 1… Continue Reading

Purple Holo Nail Polishes

Purple Holo Dupes 3

I had already published this post in october 2014 but due to the fact that it was incomplete and not satisfying to me, I deleteted it and rewrote it. So finally you can see all four purple holographic nail polishes in my collection. I think it is rather a coincidence that these four polishes are purple, but they give a good example of different qualities of different brands and their holo effects. I will show the following four nail polishes: Sally Hansen “Purple Potion” (discontinued) – this is one of the colors from the Magical LE from 2002 and unfortunately hard to find on the second hand nail polish market… Continue Reading

Orly Sparkle LE – BLING

Orly Bling 2

Sometimes you can not go the way it is planned. Today I was going to show you a Xmas nail art for the Essie blogger contest, but then one of my nails broke and I had to shorten them all. On short nails it is hard to draw a nice design on so I had to change my plans. Therefore, today you are lucky to see one of the most beautiful golden holo glitters by Orly. This winter collection is called SPARKLE and consists of six wonderful glitter nail polishes. I was lucky last week because I was able to visit the Cosmetica Messe Berlin cosmetic trade fair and Orly was… Continue Reading

ILNP Sirene

ILNP Sirene 1

I was finally able to show you this beautiful and unique color by one of my favorite brands EVER: ILNP (I love nail polish). It is consideren an “indie brand” because it is not avaible in retail or drugstores and can only be purchased through their website www.ilnp.com . This one is called Sirene (H) and it is a breathtaking iridescent holographic petrol. ILNP has a big selection of special effekt nail lacquers and also offers limited editons. The only downfall for this color is that it needs 3 coats, but due to the fact that it dries very fast and can also be used as a topcoat with similar… Continue Reading

Ciaté Looking Glass

Ciate Looking Glass 1

Like many other bloggers in this world I have a very special fetish when it comes to nail lacquers: I love holos. It is the magic of the rainbow that hipnotizes me everytime the light shines on my nails and the sparkle like a wonderland. I know, I am not alone with this fascination. Today I want to share a nail polish with you that is part of my silver holo series: Ciaté Looking Glass. Please check the others: Rival De Loop #02 Lost in Space (Link to article) Butter London Dodgy Barnett (Link to article) Butter London Fairy Cake (Link to article) …plus I will show you a dupe… Continue Reading

Orly Right Amount of Evil

Orly Right Amount of Evil and LA Colors Spat 2

It’s October! Are yall ready for Halloween? Well it is time to start with a series of Halloween-themed polishes I have in my collection. The first one you will see today is: Orly Right Amount Of Evil (40452). Product website: http://www.orlybeauty.com/nail-color/nail-color-by-collection/flash-glam-fx/right-amount-of-evil.html I had bought this polish during summer at my local TkMaxx (TJMaxx in the US) and kept it unpolished until fall. As far as I know it is from the Flash Glam FX Collection – on  LetThemHavePolish‘s blog you can see the other swatches of this 2012 collection. Due to the fact that this polish is a orange jelly with different holo glitters in it, I decided to use… Continue Reading
